This new release includes several new enhancements for ease of use, new features, better performance and reliability to name just a few. Monitoring server performance and event logs and the vast data available is now even easier thanks to version 7. This latest version of ELM pushes the bar even higher with an updated and improved Performance reporting, enhanced Ping testing, and comes complete with a local database. Listed below you'll find the highlights of the newest features in ELM Enterprise Manager 7. Bundled Database - MS SQL LocalDB now installed by default. Used for ELM configuration and default Primary and Failover databases ELM Dashboard - New rich application platform separate from the ELM console. Displays performance bottleneck information and status messages. Dashboard Notification Method - Sends scaled priority status messages to the NEW ELM Dashboard SNMPv3 - As well as support v3, SNMP is now handled by the new ELM Server service and no longer requires third party services to function. SNMP v1, v2, v3 selection available in notification methods Event Writer - Previously known as event heartbeat. No longer property of the agent but now a Monitor item. Event Monitor - previously known as Event Alarm. Used to watch for specific events on a target agent and triggered defined actions if found or not found. Performance Monitor - previously known as Performance Alarm. Enhanced Ping Monitor - Granular ping functionality. Writes events based on various status changes from failures, successes and warnings. Timeout view now available in correlation - Change the display to view only correlation events that timed out. Email notification Enhancement - Priority levels added of High, Normal and Low which are supported by popular email clients. Support for hosted email services which includes specific port numbers and TLS encryption.
