Spring cleaning commenced at TNT Software with a large donation of old CPUs, monitors, and other equipment that was no longer needed or in service. Earth Friendly Recycling of Vancouver stopped by on the last day of May to take away quite a haul of used components.
“As we virtualize and streamline we just don’t need as much hardware anymore. Plus, we like to keep our employees running fast machines with nice clear displays so it was time for the old stuff to find a new home,” commented Steve Taylor, President and Founder of TNT Software.
Earth Friendly Recycling was selected to take the used items due largely to their community involvement and customer service. Although most drives were removed from machines prior to recycling, Earth Friendly understands the importance of protecting sensitive data and provides a certificate of destruction ensuring that any and all stored information has been removed prior to reuse. Earth Friendly Recycling are also proud supporters of causes such as Doernbecher Children’s Hospital OHSU, Make A Wish Foundation, Cascadia Tech Academy and Educational Opportunities for Children & Families.
An estimated $20,000 worth of equipment was donated that will be used to help support these organizations and their community outreach.
