Just hours after Washington Governor Jay Inslee addressed the state on April 21, announcing extended stay home orders and unveiling a structured plan for reopening the economy, TNT Software, Inc. made a donation equivalent to 50,000 meals through Feeding America to help support local food banks.
“Part of the recovery plan our governor announced is to bolster food banks and keep food on the table of those that are suffering through this,” commented Steve Taylor, President and Founder of TNT Software. “We have been fortunate to maintain business as usual for the most part since this all started, and we wanted to do our part to support the economy, the recovery plans that are being laid out, and most importantly our local community. We really are all in this together.”
TNT Software has supported a mixed office and working remote organizational structure for a few years now, so the transition to a fully virtual office in mid-March went very smoothly. “Our customers sometimes get to hear little voices in the background and the occasional dog barking during calls, but I think they appreciate that because many of them are in the same boat with the sudden shift to working at home,” said Greg Berglund, TNT Software Sales and Marketing Manager.
Feeding America is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization. They support a network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs across the US. For more information on Feeding America programs and services please visit FeedingAmerica.org.
We encourage you all to do your part through distancing and supporting your local communities during these challenging times. Stay healthy.
