Publications allow you schedule and customize reports for distribution.
In the ELM Management Console open the top Menu and select the NEW option.
Select Report in the Group section and then select Publication in the Wizard group.
A new Publication Document wizard will launch in a tab.
Database:
Selection the database you would like the publication to use when it runs and click Next. Selecting Current will ensure the report always uses the active primary database.
Select Report:
Select the report you would like to use for this publication. Note, you can create multiple publications based on a single report. This is useful if you want a weekly and monthly report based on the same data set.
When you finished selecting the report click NEXT.
Details:
Maximum Number of records: Enter how many rows to display in your publication. Maximum is 1,000,000 rows.
Monitoring category: Select a monitoring category to limit the computers listed in the report.
Date Range: Date range of the data to include in the report.
Advanced Where Clause: This can be used to further customize or limit results in the final publication. Contact support@firemtsoftware.com if you have a specific need for this field.
Report Header image: Add your own custom logo to the top of the Publication.
Page Foot Image: Add your own custom logo to the bottomyeah of the Publication.
Page Footer text: Add your own text to the bottom of the Publication.
Schedule:
Specify the frequency you would like to run the Publication.
Delivery:
Delivery Type: File and Email delivery options.
Output Format: PDF, CSV or XLS
Path to Output: This is for File deliver type open. Specify the path where you would like the report publication to be saved. Default is in the ELM program directory Reports folder. Publications are stored in a folder based on the name of the publication.
Naming:
Type a Name and Description for your new Publication and click FINISH.
Your new report Publication will be added under Reports > All Publications in the Explorer tree
