Introduction
Two downloads of ELM Enterprise Manager are available.
Standard - Contains all ELM components and will download a version of Microsoft SQL Express from the Internet if a custom SQL server is not provided during install.
Full - Contains all ELM components and additionally a copy of Microsoft SQL Express 2019 built into the installer.
Either version may be used to install individual components such as an Agent only or just the ELM Console.
Download a copy of the installer from: https://www.firemtsoftware.com/product-overview/free-trial/
Install
Right-click on the installer file (ELM 80_xxx.exe) and select Run As Administrator.
Note: On some systems you may need to check the properties of the exe to ensure Windows did not place a block on the file. If you see an option to Unblock, then click that button prior to running the installer. If you do not see an option to Unblock then you are ready to install.
Select the components you will to install.
Enter the service logon account and Password that will be used for the ELM server services. See Elevated Privileges
Specify a database using the Change Databases button or keep the default. If the default is kept then ELM will either download a copy of MS SQL Express or install MS SQL Express 2019 during the installation process depending on the version you downloaded.
Note: If you change database, ELM will be unable to validate your database settings until after the installation process begins. This could result in ELM being installed but having no configured database. This can be corrected later by launching the ELM Console after install has completed.
Change databases
If you have an existing configuration file from another ELM 8.0 installation you can specify it here to have it imported during installation.
Select the folder to install ELM Enterprise Manager, agree to the license terms and click the Install button.
